ZOELLA'S GOOEY OREO COOKIE COOKIES

Damn Michelle, back at it again with the cookies.
A thing that i started doing with cookies is heating them up in the microwave for a few seconds. It's honestly heavenly when a cookie is nice and warm especially if they have chocolate as it melts in the mouth. For future references to myself and now to you guys is that i would add more chocolate chips to this recipe.

Zoe's delicious cookies can be found on her website or just keep scrolling.

PREP TIME: 20 MINUTES  COOK TIME: 9-11 MINUTES  MAKES: 13 COOKIES

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 1/2 CUPS PLAIN FLOUR
  • 1/2 TSP BAKING POWDER
  • 1/4 CUP BROWN SUGAR
  • 1/2 CUP WHITE SUGAR
  • 110G SOFTENED SALTED BUTTER
  • 50G CHOCOLATE CHIPS (ADD MORE THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT ENOUGH)
  • 12-14 OREO COOKIES (THEY COME IN A PACKET)
  • 1 TSP VANILLA EXTRACT
  • 1 EGG
METHOD:
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius.
  2. Line two cookie trays with baking paper.
  3. Make sure the butter is at room temperature and is softened. Mix the BUTTER and SUGAR until it is mixed together.
  4. Add in the EGG and VANILLA. Make sure not to over beat.
  5. Add in the FLOUR until it's mixed well. Again do not over beat as this will allow more air into the cookies.
  6. Crush up the OREO COOKIES. I just smashed mine in it's sealed packet, it didn't open or spill which i was quite surprised at because i was beating it quite hard.
  7. With your hands or a spatula fold in the CHOCOLATE CHIPS and crushed OREO COOKIES.
  8. Form small balls of dough and place them in the cookie tray. Dab them down slightly to help them form. Remember to leave space between the cookies as they do spread.
  9. Place in the oven and BAKE!! Depending on your oven the cookies might take longer or less time than estimated. Make sure your cookies a lightly golden brown before taking them out. We want soft not hard cookies so keep your eye on the cookies when they're in the oven.
  10. Place them on a cooling rack to slightly cool before taking a bite. If you couldn't wait like myself then dig in!

Enjoy Baking!
mich x
